Spartan Group consists of a family of companies which include Spartan Group Consulting, LLC; Spartan Group International, LLC; and Spartan Group II, LLC. Each company is comprised of the same core members with the same core values, yet specialization allows for each organization to focus on and serve clients according to their particular mission, geographic location, and specific contract requirements. While Spartan Group International and Spartan Group II have an international focus, Spartan Group Consulting exists primarily to service domestic clients.

The entire organization is divided into two directorates – the Applied Training and Consulting (ATC) Division and the Risk Management Division (RMD). Spartan's ATC Division was formed with the expressed mission of training and assisting law enforcement, military and government agencies in the advanced tactical arena. The members of the Spartan Group have designed specific courses for the military and law enforcement community. The courses take into account "worst case scenarios" enabling the client to develop true proficiency in the high-risk tactical environment. Spartan Group's Risk Management Division addresses the needs of corporations, individuals, and government agencies in all aspects of physical security and protective operations.
